Banana Muffins Recipe... the almond glaze is amazing!

Banana Bread with Almond Glaze

1/2 cup margarine or butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup mashed bananas (3-4 bananas)
1/4 cup milk
1 tsp lemon juice
2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional but I highly recommend it! - I like walnuts the best)

Cream margarine (or butter) and sugar. Add eggs and beat. Add bananas, milk, and lemon juice. Sift dry ingredients and add. Stir in nuts (if using them).

If making bread loaves:
Bake in well-greased bread loaf pan for 1 hour at 350 degrees F. Makes 1 loaf.

If making muffins:
Bake in greased muffin tins (or use baking cups) at 350 degrees for about 20-22 minutes. It makes 15 muffins.

Glaze: 1 Tb milk, 1 cup powdered sugar, and 1/2 tsp almond flavoring. Glaze muffins/bread while still hot.

Found this recipe on Pinterest and love it! It's from the Six Sister's Stuff website: http://www.sixsistersstuff.com/search?q=banana+bread

Upcycled Sweatpants Tutorial

My favorite sweatpants are the "boyfriend" pants from Victoria's Secret, mostly because you can cut the bottom and make them the length you need them... being super short this is pretty ideal for me.  The only problem is I got snip happy and cut my favorite pair a bit too short.  To wear them in public and not look dumb I had to sag them around my mid-butt area... still looked dumb, of course. So, I found this solution:
I cut them to about 2 inches lower than mid-calf.  Then I snipped a very small hole about 2 inches about my knee (this is important because the fabric stretched after I tied them up, so the smaller the hole the better), and then inserted a white ribbon and tied a bow!

I LOVE them now! They're so cute and comfy and perfect for the summer weather :)

I found the idea originally from this site:
